Faculty of Biotechnology



Faculty of Biotechnology developed out of the Institute for Biotechnology, the oldest scientific- research institution in Montenegro.
Studies of agriculture were established in 2005 at the University in Montenegro.

The Faculty of Biotechnology had adequately equipped rooms for lectures, classrooms and laboratories situated in the business buildings in Podgorica, Bar and Bijelo Polje, as well as experimental plots for a part of students’ professional practice and organization of Faculty production.

UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC STUDIES are divided in two study groups:
  • Study group PLANT PRODUCTION
  • Study group CATTLE BREEDING

UNDERGRADUATE APPLIED STUDIES of agriculture are dividedinto two study groups:
  • Continental fruit-growing in Bijelo Polje
  • Mediterranean fruit-growing in Bar

SPECIALIST ACADEMIC STUDIES have four study groups:
  • Fruit and wine-growing
  • Cultivation of soil and vegetable-growing
  • Plant protection
  • Cattle-breeding
MASTER STUDIES of Plant production are organized for all specialist courses of studies.
