University Units
- Faculty of Econonomics -
Faculty of Economics in Podgorica
is the oldest higher education institution
in the Republic. It was founded in 1960.
Its foundation marks the beginning
of higher education development in
Montenegro. Until the University in
Titograd was founded, the Faculty of
Economics constituted a part of the
University in Belgrade.
In the meantime, Faculty of
Economics has grown into a complex
and very stable higher education institution,
which organizes and carries out
undergraduate, specialist and master’s
studies, as well as doctoral studies in the
field of economics. The teaching activities
are supplemented with various scientific-
research programmes and projects.
Undergraduate Studies
There are eight departments of
undergraduate studies at the Faculty of
Economics:
- Enterpreneurship and Business
- Finances
- Management
- International Business
- Marketing
- Quantitative Methods in Economics
- Information systems
- Public Administration Economics.
A two year Business College also
constitutes a part of the Faculty of
Economics. The College was founded
with the aim of enabling students to
acquire primarily practical knowledge for
doing business, particularly in the fields
of accounting, finances and information
technology.
Postgraduate Studies
Postgraduate studies have been going
on since 1974, and a new concept named
“Enterpreneurship Economics” has been
organized since 1992. These studies are
very popular and prestigious. They are
not open only to economists. The lectures
are given both in our language and
in English. Most lectures are given by
teachers from abroad.
