- Faculty of Civil Engineering -



Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica was founded in 1980. Its establishment reflected the objective needs of Montenegro to have higher education in civil engineering. These needs were particularly expressed after the devastating earthquake that hit Montenegro in 1979.
The Faculty offers the possibility to educate civil engineers, architects and geodesists starting from the level of undergraduate studies, through specialist and postgraduate studies to doctoral degree in civil engineering studies.
The faculty provides good conditions for research work and organizes fundamental, applied and development research in the field of civil engineering, architecture and geodesy.
The faculty also carries out expert work through direct cooperation of the faculty and economic and other entities, through investigations and attestation of civil construction materials and objects, expert analyses and expertise’s referring to designing, construction and exploitation of complex and specific constructions above all.
Research and expert work is done through the Institute of Civil Engi neering and its laboratories which are part of the faculty.

 

Undergraduate Studies
Students are offered the possibility to choose among three departments with a number of courses of studies at Civil Engineering Faculty:

Civil Engineering Department

- Study Group for Road Construction
- Engineering Communal Course of Studies
- Construction Management and Technology

Department of Geodesy
- State Bill of Quantities and Cadastre
- Geodesy

Department of Architecture
- Design Course of Studies
- Town Planning Course of Studies.


Postgraduate Studies
Postgraduate studies at Civil Engineering Faculty are currently organized at Civil Engineering Department for two courses of studies:
- Constructions and Seismic Design
- Construction Mangement and Technology.
