- Music Academy-

Music Academy was founded in 1980. Until 1996, when a fire broke out in the building in which this higher education institution had very bad working conditions, the Academy was located in Podgorica. After the fire, the Academy moved to Cetinje into the building of former English embassy, which provided optimal working conditions for this higher education institution.
Music Academy has been engaging the best professors from abroad, which, along with the engagement of best, high quality local staff permanently makes it possible to achieve a high level of teaching and concert activities.

Undergraduate Studies
Music Academy organizes and carries out undergraduate four and five year studies at different departments. Within the departments, students are offered the possibility to choose between different groups:

Department for Composing, Conducting and Musicology
- Group for Composing
- Group for Conducting
- Musicology Group

Vocal-instrumental Department
- Group for the Piano
- Group for String Instruments
- Group for Wind Instruments
- Group for the Guitar
- Group for Solo-singing

Department for General Music Pedagogy

Studies at the Department for Composition and Musicology last 5 years (10 semesters), and at other departments 4 years (8 semesters).

Postgraduate Studies
Postgraduate studies at the Music Academy are organized at four courses of studies:

- Artistic Performance
- Instrument (main subject)
- Chamber Ensemble (main subject)
- Piano Teaching Methods
- Composing
- Solfeggio
