- Faculty of Marine studies-
Marine College in Kotor, now Faculty
of Marine Studies, was founded upon the
request of marine economy in 1959, as an
independent higher education institution.
The needs of marine and tourist economy
for educational profiles conditioned further
development of the school through
the establishment of new departments. In
1981 this institution was transformed into
the Faculty of Marine Studies aimed at
educating specialized professionals with
college and higher education degree.
Faculty of Marine Studies in Kotor
represents a complex educational and
scientific institution which organizes and
realizes undergraduate, specialist and
postgraduate studies, as well as doctoral
studies.
Undergraduate Studies
Undergraduate studies at the Faculty
of Marine Studies are organized and carried
out in accordance with the curricula
at the following departments:
- Department for Management
- Department of Marine Shipping
Industry
- Marine Nautic Department
- Marine Engineering
- Department of Marine Electrical
Engineering.
Undergraduate studies at the Faculty
of Marine Studies are realized on the
basis of four year curricula for all study
departments, except for the Department
for Marine Electrical Engineering with
two year studies.
Postgraduate Studies
Postgraduate studies at the Faculty of
Marine Studies are organized at only one
department currently.
