After passing this exam, the student will be able to: define the division of history according to the subject of study (general history, national history and local history); explain the historic division (time division) into large periods (Prehistory, Antiquity, the Middle Ages, Modern Age and Contemporary History; evaluate the significance of occurrence and spread of the world religions amongst the peoples of the Mediterranean (Judaism, Christianity and Islam; explain the main characteristics of romanticism and realism as two important movements is European culture and art in the nineteenth century; evaluate and explain the importance of the great historical events and processes (the Congress of Berlin, the Balkan wars, the World War I and II) from the standpoint of genaral and national histories.
