After passing this exam,student will be able to : 1. Determine advantages and disadvantages and appliance of certain kinds of design research which are used in epidemiology, compare the quality of received data and their significance in medicine and public health. 2. Estimate the cause and effect connection between the variables on basis of received epidemiological data. 3. Calculate basic measures of appearance of a disease, such as incidence, prevalence and other measures of morbidity and mortality, and determine correlation between the mentioned measures. 4. Calculate and interpret the most common measures of association in epidemiology such as relative risk and odds ratio. 5. Calculate the sensitivity, specifity and positive and negative predictive value of a test. 6. Critically analyze and interpret epidemiological papers with special review on the role of the bias and confounding in researches.
