Biography - Krcunović Dušan

Doc. Dr Dušan Krcunović

I was born on 3 October 1969 in Niksic, where I finished elementary and high school. I studied philosophy at the Department of Philosophy Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic, where I graduated on 20 September 1996. At the Department of Philosophy in Niksic, I started working as a teaching assistant in January 1998. In the period from September 2001 to March 2002 I stayed in Greece for learning Modern Greek language and scientific training. After returning from Greece worked at the master's thesis which I defended on 27 October 2004 in the departments of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. MS thesis was: “Eros and individuation: Plato's Philosophy Against the Tragedy”. After completing the master studies I enrolled in doctoral studies at the Department of Philosophy in Niksic. Thesis entitled: “The problem of creation in Plato's Timaeus and Hexaemeron of Basil the Great”, I defended on 7 December 2009. Since 2009, I was hired as editor of the philosophical journal “Luča”, founded by Montenegrin Philosophical Society. From 7 July 2009 to 7 July 2010, I was involved in the project of MASA: “Montenegro in the 21st Century - in the Era of Competitiveness”. In the academic rank of assistant professor, I was elected on 17 February 2011. At the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic I teach a philosophical anthropology and modern ontology.
I am one of the founders of the Center for Hellenic Studies in Podgorica (Montenegro).
