After passing this exam a student will be able to: - Use various linguistic dictionaries for practical and scientific purposes; -Become familiar with the basic concepts of lexical semantics, determine the types of lexical meaning and its components; - Understand the systemic relationships in the vocabulary of the Russian language (polysemy, homonyms, antonyms, synonyms, paronyms); - Classify the Russian lexicon from the point of origin, the sphere of use, stylistic affiliation, active and passive forms; - Recognize different types of phraseological units, determine their meaning and sphere of usage; - Independently use appropriate textbooks and scientific literature, bibliographic sources and contemporary internet resources;
