MEDICINA I DRUŠTVO(SOCI.25,MED.ETIKA 20,SOC.MED15)

After completing the one-semester course and passing exam in Medicine and Society, medical student should have the following outcomes: 1. Identifies and explains the mechanisms of influence of the social structure and cultural patterns on health. 2. Defines basic sociological concepts; sociological theories and key representatives, elements of society and social sub-systems, content, and distribution of medical sociology and special sectors of development and explain, with examples, connection between sex / gender and health risks. 3. Explains basic concepts: ethics, morality, bioethics, ethical theories, principles, ethical theories, principles, ethical approaches to individual topics, biomedical ethics. 4. Analyzes and faces moral norms and approaches in the healthcare system. 5. Explains basic concepts in field of social medicine - public health (health, health care system, providing health care, public health, health promotion, health education). 6. Identifies and describes risk factors that affect on health in all groups of society and analyzes and correlates the relationship between them, especially behavior, as a risk to health.
