BIO-ICT at NEUBIAS 2020
BIO-ICT software developers Milija Bajčeta and Petar Sekulić participated at the NEUBIAS 2020 scientific conference from 14 until 17 February in Lisbon, Portugal. NEUBIAS is a unique network of bioimage analysts in Europe, aiming at strengthening the bridge between life science, computer science and digital image processing by:
- Establishing the role and identity of bioimage analysts in the life science community
- Sharing bioimage analysis knowledge and techniques
- Improving image analysis technology, foster innovations and collaborations
- Securing image data integrity
- Complementing rapidly evolving microscopy techniques.
The aim of NEUBIAS 2020 conference was to openly promote mutual communication between four communities of experts (Life Scientists – Biologists, Instrumentalists – Microscopists, Developers – Image processing algorithm developers, programmers and computer scientists and Bioimage analysts), and to establish the role of Bioimage Analysts in Life Sciences.
BIO-ICT software developers exchanged their views and experiences with other experts in this field. By participating at the conference, our software developers have learnt different and new approaches for solving challenges they are facing, especially related to retinal blood vessels segmentation.
