Biografija - Čović Tiana

Tiana Čović is a TA at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Philology. She holds Specialist Degrees in Translation studies and English language and literature. Currently, she is working towards her MA thesis at the Faculty of Philology, University of Montenegro.

Tiana teachers Contemporary English V and VI (Translation) at the Faculty of Philology, Legal English I and III at the Faculty of Law and Business English I and II at the Faculty of Economics. She has also taught English for Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, ESP at the Faculty of Political Science and General English at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro.                                                                                                                        

She is a board member of an English language teachers’ association – ELTAM, a member of the editorial board of a Newsletter published twice a year, and a member of American association AZTESOL.

Tiana spent the Fall term of 2017 at the Northern Arizona University in the USA, as a Fulbright Scholar. She worked as a Research Assistant on a project in Psycholinguistics called Learning morphology in a new language: input variability, memory and transfer, which produced several papers which were presented at prestigious and internationally renowned conferences in Canada and the US.

She presented at international conferences in the USA (Tucson, Arizona, 2017), and Canada (Edmond, 2018), and she is presenting in Atlanta, Georgia in March 2019.

Her scholarly interests include SLA, Psycholinguistics, Pragmatics, Semantics and Sociolinguistics.
