Learning outcomes:

After successfully compleating the course, the student will be able to: 1. Present the basic features of the diachronic development of literary theory from Antiquity to modern times; 2. Explain the characteristics of poetics of Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Classicism, Romanticism and Realism, as well as the most general tendencies of literary theory since the late nineteenth century to the present day; 3. Speak and write about literary epochs, phenomena, authors and works in terms of literary theory.
