Regular monthly meeting of the SWOST project team October 2 and 3, in Pistoia

Another regular monthly online meeting within the project Sport without Stereotypes (SWOST) was held yesterday (July 14, 2021) between 2 and 4 p.m, led by Centro Studi Cultura Sviluppo (CSCS), and via the Zoom platform.

The project coordinator, Centro Studi Cultura Sviluppo, presented to the partner institutions methodological guidelines for the next work task, which refers to the question of how to systematize and clearly prepare the collected best practices, so that users can easily find what they need and use.

The results of the collection of advanced practices were commented by Wouter Cools from Vrije University in Brussels (Belgium). He mentioned that each partner institution has a few more days to deliver 30 different resources. The date by which this must be done has been moved by three days, ie until July 27 this year. Within this item on the agenda, some of the partner institutions presented the most interesting data found between the last two meetings, and on behalf of the University of Montenegro, assistant prof. Bojan Mašanović.

Afterwards, Gilles Lecocq from the Institute for Physical Exercise in Paris spoke about the Olympic and Paralympic Games that will start in a couple of weeks, and about the advanced practices that will be applied during the Games, in order to combat gender stereotypes.

Finally, it was decided to move the regular monthly meeting in August to September due to the holding of the Olympic Games, and to hold the first meeting, which will not be of the virtual type, on October 2 and 3 in Pistoia (Italy).

The meeting was attended on behalf of the University of Montenegro by full prof. Duško Bjelica, PhD. And we will remind you that the goal of SWOST is to increase participation and equal access to sports, addressing gender stereotypes and any discrimination in sports.

The project involves 9 European countries, 11 organizations (6 universities and 5 sports organizations / associations), or through eminent 20 experts.
