Divna Stanović – the Best Student of the Faculty of Architecture for the Academic Year 2021/22

Divna Stanović with the average mark 9.30 was elected the best student of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Montenegro at the Study programme Architecture. On this occasion she received the award which, she says, represents a great satisfaction and the crown of her work, effort and sacrifice so far, but also a great incentive for further development in her profession.

"It is a great honour to receive the prestigious award of the University and to be nominated for such a prestigious award ", added the student.

She said that for the mentioned achievement great efforts have been invested, both for primary acquiring of knowledge and for personal challenge of reaching the desired results.

"Continuous self-development is the key to advancement. The invested time and energy do not represent a sacrifice, but useful investment in your future, and the desire and love for what you are doing, make the process easier", said Divna.

Besides mastering the theoretical segment of the subjects, she explains, a large part of activities is dedicated to developing architectural and urban planning projects.

"Every project implies research work preceding it, during which you study significant aspects of the context based on which they it is further developed. Knowledge of software programmes helps every students to transform his/her idea in practice and to present it in the best possible way", said Divna adding that activities organized and promoted by the Faculty, such as exhibitions and student competitions represent additional motivation.

Divna plans to continue education and after several years of work, which she says will certainly by carried out in Montenegro, she plans to enrol doctoral studies abroad, but also always to return and contribute to her country.

"The goal is to continue my professional development after completing my master thesis which is to follo\w, when I return from exchange in Rome. It is a great pleasure and I am proud to represent the University of Montenegro in a foreign country such as Italy, and also to have good fundamental knowledge owing to education at our University".

Her message for the future students is that it is important to be persistent in achieving one’s goals:  "Overcome every obstacle you find on your way, for you will certainly find them, but the final result is worth it. Be aware that you are enrolling a faculty which brings the profession of the future, always progressing and thus creating numerous opportunities. In conclusion, during your studies work on building your own style and identity, for this is the only way to be successful in the world of architecture ".
