After last year's renewed cooperation, which ended a 15-year break, international bilateral cooperation between two institutions continued in May this year as part of the "Terra Student Camp" program, where decades ago, the "Terra" studio presented itself as a teaching base for many students and their professors from Serbia and abroad, with special emphasis on pedagogical activity and cooperation with academies and art faculties from the region (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Timisoara, Cetinje):

 

- "At the initiative of the sculpture department of the Faculty of Fine Arts Cetinje, and with the support of the University of Montenegro, the Capital of Cetinje and the Tourist Organization of Cetinje, this year Master's students realized a workshop in the field of terracotta sculpture technique. , founder and director of the Terra Center and former professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje, and Ivana Radovanović, PhD, assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje. , Željka Pestorić and Mato Uljarević were able to gain new knowledge and experience from lectures by Professor Zdravko Joksimović from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade and Nikola Macura and Aleksandar Bunčić from the sculpture department of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad who participated with their students at the same time. in the student program camp in the studio "Terra". The program of a ten-day stay in the Terra studio within the subject Terra Academic Practice was proposed as part of the regular program of the second year of the master's academic studies in sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje within the renewal of the Bologna accreditation. Student works created at this year's workshop will be presented to the public in the Terra Gallery in the fall, after which an exhibition is planned at the Museum and Gallery of Podgorica where, in addition to student works, the public will be presented programs organized by CLPU Terra and the potential and importance of future joint projects "- says Aleksandar Lipovan, manager of international cooperation from CLPU" Terra ".

 

Since the work and stay in the old brickyard and tiled building, ie today the Atelier "Terra", which has the status of a cultural monument of importance for industrial heritage, offers all available technical and technological conditions for knowledge transfer, students were transferred during this seven-day practical training. forty years of integrated experience in working with clay:- "In addition to sculptural practice, students had the opportunity to learn the basics of the ReOrg method, an internationally recognized innovative way of reorganizing and optimizing museum depots, which was implemented in 2021 in the depot of the Terra Center. self-management, documentation and adequate preservation of works of art that guests from Montenegro recognized as an example of good practice that would adapt to their needs and implement in the future within their institutions. During their stay they also had the opportunity to visit the opening of two solo exhibitions and installation organized by the "Terra" center (Ritual inclusion - Marija Jeftić Dajić - in the "Terra" Gallery, as well as the exhibition "Dust" by Andrea Petraković and Tatjana Dimitrijević in the Salon of the Terra Museum). Students were able to gain an impression of one segment of the current artistic p rakes in Serbia. Students also participated as educators in children’s workshops organized within the European Museum Night program, which took place at the "Terra" Museum on May 14 "- our interlocutor added. Since the founding of the Terra Symposium, one of the main priority axes, in addition to the presentation of contemporary art, is active participation in the field of multiculturalism and interculturalism. International institutional cooperation with academic institutions from the region confirms the general idea of ​​the Terra Center to contribute to bilateral cooperation of participating countries in networking, strengthening intercultural dialogue and preserving collective memory and cultural understanding as mirrors of common past, present and future.
