Signed a cooperation agreement with the Bureau of Metrology

Faculty of Electrical Engineering, with several partner institutions, conducts scientific research project entitled "Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics - BIO-ICT". The project involves the implementation of new solutions based on information and communication technologies in the agriculture sector in Montenegro, in the production of high quality food and environmental monitoring.

The main application of this project relates to sustainable agriculture, monitoring of crops, forests and water and the marine ecosystem, the development of techniques for the control and reduction of air pollution, analysis and standardization of food products and quality control of land.

Institute of Metrology, as an important segment of the national quality infrastructure, will be involved in the application of advanced technologies in the Montenegrin economy and scientific sector.

Bureau of Metrology, as part of scientific - research and innovation activities of the first Montenegrin "Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics - BIO-ICT ', its infrastructure and competence will contribute to achieving the necessary level of confidence in the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as to build their capacity in terms of automation IoT calibration system, which will greatly facilitate and accelerate the implementation of these systems.

Data from the Bureau of Metrology will be used for the development of information systems to make recommendations and perform data mining techniques for data processing.

The Bureau of Metrology carries out activities related to ensuring the application of the system of legal units, realization, keeping, maintaining and improving standards of Montenegro, as well as ensuring metrological traceability for standardization laboratories.
