A meeting of the ENEMLOS project team was held




A meeting of members of the management team of the ENEMLOS project - Legal Clinics in Service of Vulnerable Groups: Enhancing the Employability of Law Students through Practical Education was held at the Faculty of Law, headed by the project coordinator, full prof. Biljana Đuričin, PhD, on Monday, September 13.

Further implementation of the project was discussed at the meeting, and in the first place, the report of the Erasmus + Office in Montenegro on the effects so far, made after the monitoring of the project carried out in June 2021, was discussed. We would like to remind you that the evaluation of the Erasmus + National Office assessed the implementation of the project so far as successful, and that, despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, most of the planned activities were successfully implemented.

As the Report also included certain recommendations for further implementation of the project, the meeting discussed future activities that will meet the recommended objectives. In this light, further activities have been agreed, including those that will further strengthen the cooperation of academic and non-academic partners in the project, as well as intensify the visibility of the project in the wider community, through local media and other means of information.

To that end, it was agreed that the members of the project team will participate in the upcoming Justice Fair organized by the Bar Association of Montenegro, as well as the improvement of the project website. Proposals for amendments to the Law on Higher Education were also discussed, in the light of legal provisions on compulsory practical training, as well as the improvement of cooperation with the Ministry of Justice. Also connecting with the Erasmus + project DUALMON - Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Dual Education in Montenegro Higher Education, whose coordinator is the University of Novi Sad and the University of Montenegro is one of the partners in the project.

The organization of the study visit to the University of Zagreb, which is planned in the upcoming period, was also discussed at the meeting. The visit will contribute to the acquisition of necessary knowledge and skills in the future establishment and operation of legal clinics, through the exchange of experiences with the Legal Clinic of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb, which will host and organize training for the ENEMLOS project team.

The ENEMLOS project is supported under the Erasmus+ program Capacity Building in Higher Education. The project involves three eminent institutions that successfully deal with clinical legal education: the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, Regents University in London and the Foundation of Legal Clinics of Poland.
