The results of a doctoral dissertation from Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor presented at the IMO Symposium in London

The doctoral dissertation titled: “Cost-benefit analysis and implementation model of the national maritime single window in small coastal states" has been recently defended at the Faculty of Martime Studies Kotor, University of Montenegro. The author, Nexhat Kapidani, PhD, has been Deputy Director at the Administration for Maritime Safety and Port Management in Bar, Montenegro, as well as internationally recognized expert in information technologies and maritime safety. In addition, he has maintained a continuous cooperation with the Faculty of Maritime Studies within several international project.   

The published results from Dr. Kapidani’s doctoral dissertation drawn the attention of International Maritime Organizations (IMO) since the research deals with potentials and challenges in implementing Maritime Single Window in small coastal countries, with the example of Montenegro. Upon the invitation of IMO as the global standard-setting maritime authority, dr Kapidani presented the results of his research, as well as the system implementation in Montenegro, as a panellist at the „Maritime Single Window 2024 – A window of opportunities“ Symposium  in London.
