The Medicine study program is high-quality program with clearly defined and internationally comparable learning outcomes in European area of higher education, adapted to the modern needs of society and labor market.

GOALS

The Medicine study program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro is an integrated academic study program that lasts six years, i.e. twelve semesters, and is valued at 360 ECTS credits.

The main task of this study program is training of highly educated staff in the field of medicine, research development and rising the overall level of medical health care.

The goal of the Medicine study program is to create an educated, responsible, competent doctor of medicine who is qualified to work in primary health care and to work within the health system, including continuation of education through specialization in various medical fields.

The goals of the Faculty are that after completing the study program enrolled students are able to understand the meaning and application of social determinants of health and the needs for the health of the individuals and the community, have adequate knowledge and understanding of the structure, function and behavior of the human organism, possess appropriate skills and attitudes that enable responsible behavior within professional boundaries, and use their knowledge and practical techniques in patient care, have professional responsibility for safe and effective patient care, accept the necessity of continuous professional development, behave legally responsibly and in accordance with ethical standars.
