Lecture by Dr. Denis Nyari

On Wednesday, February 21, in the library of the Historical Institute of UCG, starting at 2:30 p.m., Dr. Denis Njari, professor from the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy in Osjek, held a lecture on the topic of the Early Medieval Hungarian Kingdom (9th-11th century).

Dr. Nyari was born in 1987. He completed undergraduate and graduate studies in history and Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek. He received his doctorate in 2016 at the Croatian Studies of the University of Zagreb with the topic Population of Hrastina, Laslov, Korođa and Retfala in the 18th century and the first third of the 19th century. Since 2017, he has been working at the History Department of the Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek. He received professional training at the University of Pécs (2018), ELTE in Budapest (2019) and the University of Ljubljana (2021).He is a collaborator on several projects. He is the author of several scientific works and monographs. He regularly participates in domestic and international professional meetings. His narrower field of scientific interest is: the history of the Hungarian minority in Croatia, local history and the medieval Kingdom of Hungary.
