SOCIOLOGIJA RELIGIJE I

After students pass this exam, they will be able to: - Analyse basic theoretical problems of Sociology of Religion; - Differ scientific and dogmatic concepts of religion; - Differ questions of the status of religious assertions and making judgements about their truth (methodological agnosticism); - Identify basic types of defining religion (substantive, functional, and polythetic); - Identify the tasks of Sociology of Religion and other disciplines (Philosophy, Psychology, Anthropology); - Analyze the role and function of religion in society; - Classify and compare classical theories of religious phenomenon (evolutionists, functionalists, rationalists).
