Establishing Cooperation of FMT and Universities of France Conversed

Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology Veselinka Grudić, PhD, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Montenegro, Cristiano Timoni, with the aim of establishing scientific research cooperation with universities in France, on April 14th, 2022.

Taking into account green policies of the European Union and the unequivocal position that Montenegro will be a future member of the EU, the importance of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology was emphasized both in production of professional staff and in participation in the so-called green projects.

The Dean together with the Vice Dean for teaching Ivana Bošković, PhD, introduced the Ambassador to the study programs, organization of work and scientific research activities that are implemented at the Faculty.

Ambassador Timonija suggested that cooperation in the field of environmental protection be intensified, primarily through student and teacher mobility programs. Special emphasis was placed on establishing cooperation with the University of Nice through the possibility of organizing guest lectures, seminars and conferences.

It was concluded that the provision of adequate, standard space capacities, new laboratory and information-communication equipment can be realized through the search for financial resources from EU funds, with the help of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
