SENIORS, JUNIORS AND CADETS OF TEUTA FOOTBALL CLUB IN DURRES WERE TESTED

Professors of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education performed anthropometric measurements of cadets, juniors and seniors of the Teuta football club, today in Durres.

FC Teuta was founded in 1920 and competes in the Albanian Super League. Currently it is in the second place with a point behind the first-placed team. They were champions of Albania once, and they have won 4 national cups.

Measurements were performed according to the principle of bioelectric impedance, with the most modern equipment for detection of morphological indicators, and were attended by cadet coaches Jultan Fezga and Fjoren Arifi, youth coach Kapllani and senior coach Edi Martin. They gained insight into percentage values of fat, skeletal muscle mass and a complete segmental analysis of the body.

Measurements were performed by Full Prof. Duško Bjelica, PhD, Assist. Prof. Jovan Gardašević, PhD, and Assist. Prof. Ivan Vasiljević, PhD, as well as Arben Osmani PhD student at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro.

Professor Gardašević stated that the expertise of the overall training of athletes is not possible without integral, morphological, functional, motor and psychosocial diagnostics. This is an interdisciplinary approach in the diagnosis of the state of training, which has tremendously developed recently and represents the essence of sport science, concluded Assist.
