SENIOR FOOTBALL NATIONAL TEAM OF KOSOVO WAS TESTED

Professors from the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, today in Pristina, performed anthropometric measurements of senior national team members of Kosovo who are preparing for friendly matches against San Marino, Malta, Guinea and Gambia.

The measurements, which were performed on the principle of bioelectric impedance, with the most modern equipment for the detection of morphological indicators, were attended by the selector Bernard Challandes, the manager of the national team Bajram Shala and the director Muharrem Sahiti.

Measurements were performed by Full prof. Duško Bjelica, PhD, Assist. Prof. Jovan Gardašević, PhD, and Assist. Prof. Ivan Vasiljević, PhD, as well as by Arben Osmani PhDstudent at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of UCG.

Professor Bjelica thanked the professional staff of the Kosovo national team and stated that it is essential to apply the achievements of modern sports science, and thus specific individual diagnostics of athletes' training. Optimal management of training technology implies an accurately estimated duration of certain stages, whereby there will be no unnecessary waste of time and energy, professor Duško Bjelica concluded.
