FC Velež first team players were tested in Mostar

Professors from the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education performed an anthropometric measurement of FC Velež players from Mostar today. They are preparing for the return match of the Europa Conference League.


FC Velež from Mostar was founded in 1922 and competes in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League. They won the Yugoslav Cup twice and were second in the Yugoslav championship three times.


Measurements were performed on the principle of bioelectric impedance, with the most modern equipment for the detection of morphological indicators, and were attended by the coach Feđa Dudić and conditioning coach Jasmin Trnovac.


Measurements were performed by Full prof. Duško Bjelica, PhD, Assist. Prof. Jovan Gardašević, PhD, and Assist. Prof.  Ivan Vasiljević, PhD, as well as Marin Ćorluka and Miran Pehar from FPMOZ University of Mostar and Damir Đedović from the Faculty of Education, University of Dzemal Bijedic in Mostar.
Professor Bjelica stated that it is vital to apply the achievements of modern sports science, and thus the specific individual diagnosis of athletes' training. Optimal management of training technology implies an accurately estimated duration of certain stages, whereby there will be no unnecessary waste of time and energy, professor Duško Bjelica concluded.
