Startup founded by former students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica was awarded as the best IoT startup in Austria

Central Europe Startup Award - CESAwards is part of the Global Startup Awards network. CESA operates in Central and Eastern Europe in 10 countries.  More than 3700 nominations for awards in 14 categories were received during this year. This startup festival has become the largest event of its kind in the region. BeeAnd.me was named as the best IoT startup in Austria.

BeeAnd.me is the first hardware startup in Montenegro, which has been developing since 2017 with its headquarters in Montenegro and Austria. Elma and Alija, founders of BeeAnd.me, started to develop a  solution during their Master's studies and employment at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Montenegro. Their solution helps beekeepers to monitor bees, measuring all the important parameters. This technological solution aims to make traditional beehives smart and beekeeping sustainable. Their pilot is in Europe is running on more than 50 locations. Pilot's goal is to further test hardware solutions, collect data about bees and feedback from beekeepers. Elma and Alija say that there is a great challenge to analyze collected data and find answers to unanswered questions about bees.

With the same goal, they have partnered with several recognized European universities to work on these challenges.
