The exhibition of works by students of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Montenegro, called TERRA(C)OTTO, will be opened on Tuesday, October 11 at 6 p.m., in Kusles house, in Podgorica, with the support of JU Museums and Gallery of Podgorica.

 

As part of the exhibition program, a master class lecture by prof. Boban Kojić, the founder of Terra, on Wednesday, October 12 in the area of ​​the Museum and Gallery of Podgorica, starting at 11:00 a.m.

 

The special guests of this exhibition will be the students of the Primary Music School "Savo Popović" from Cetinje.

 

The students exhibition works are the result of a successful collaboration between the Center for Fine and Applied Arts Terra, in Kikinda, and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UMNE, in Cetinje. As part of the cooperation, eight masters students went through a workshop on the technique of sculpting sculptures in terracotta. Staying in the brick and tile building, today Atelier Terra - a cultural monument of importance for industrial heritage, they went through a ten-day practical course in May of this year. The studio offers all available technical and technological conditions for the transfer of knowledge and forty years of integrated experience in working with clay.

 

Masterclasses on the subject of terracotta sculpture were led by Slobodan Kojić, M.Sc., academic sculptor, founder and director of the Terra Center and former professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts from Cetinje, and Dr. Ivana Radovanović, assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts-Cetinje. The students who completed practice are: Nikola Balević, Ksenija Borozan, Dragana Petković, Sara Petrović, Mato Uljarević, Željka Pestorić, Milica Lakićević and Aleksandra Aranitović. The cooperation of these two institutions was renewed in 2021, with the support of the University of Montenegro, and from this year with the participation of the Capital City of Cetinje and TO Cetinje. It is based on an earlier agreement on cooperation in the field of fine arts (sculpture in terracotta), education, museological practice and intercultural dialogue. It was signed 12 years ago and continued continuously until 2015.
