Monika Vujisić is the Best Student of the Faculty of Fine Arts for the Academic Year 2022/23
Student of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Montenegro (UMNE), studying Painting, Monika Vujisić (9.98) is one of the 17 awarded students who achieved the greatest success during their studies for the academic year 2022/23.
"This award is a great wind in the back, in many ways. When I know that my efforts are recognized, no effort seems wasted, and the inspiration that comes after such good news is not an everyday thing," she said on the occasion of the presentation of the award.
When it comes to sacrifices during the previous period of study, Monika says that not too many sacrifices were necessary.
"Discipline was needed, because I dont feel that I had to give up anything. In fact, that discipline, focus and responsibility that I started to develop are the greatest success, because they are tools for further life," a student said.
She says for the website of the University of Montenegro that every activity at the Faculty of Fine Arts was useful, even when not applicable in her work.
"What influenced me the most was the knowledge I gained through the experience of painting, criticism and conversations with professors, even when I need time to really understand and accept it," Monika added.
When looking at her plans for the future, she is currently focused on her undergraduate studies and she will think about her future steps after finishing them. However, she interprets the concept of discipline as something that is not sufficient for creativity. "Actually, it is only one small part. Now I have a very long road ahead of me to an artistic achievement, which I am looking forward to. That is why I set myself the goal of analyzing the processes and coincidences that occur during painting, in order to learn the hidden laws that are inherent for my way of expressing myself," the award-winning student explains. He tells the future students of the Faculty of Fine Arts: "Bad works, bad processes, blockages and confusion will happen, but without that there is no progress. It is important to keep going and create, as only way to overcome things."
