Visit of Montenegrin project team to Slovenia




















Within the framework of the bilateral project MOUNTAINS AS THE IDENTITY OF SLOVENIA AND MONTENEGRO, which are jointly realized by the Institute of History and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana (Department of History and Department of Geography), the Montenegrin Project Team (Dr Ivan Laković, Tatjana Koprivica, PhD, Slavko Burzanović, Ph.D. Olga Pelcer-Vujačić) was in Ljubljana from April 2 to April 7, 2019. During the stay at the Faculty of Philosophy, the following lectures were held:
Dr Ivan Laković, Abandoning traditional identity - depopulation of mountain areas in Montenegro to the turn of the second half of the 20th century
Dr Slavko Burzanović, Lovćen Question in World War I: Geopolitical and Identity Dimension
Dr. Peter Mikša, Dr. Matej Ogrin, Kristina Glojek, Mountain Identity of Slovenians
The Deans of the Faculty of Philosophy in Ljubljana, prof. Dr. Roman Kuhar, as well as the Head of Department for History, Dr Dušan Mlacović and Department of Geography, Dr. Simon Kušar. Lectures were followed by an interesting discussion as well as the media.
In addition, Dr. Ivan Laković gave a lecture at the Slovenian Mountaineering Museum in Mojstrana. The Montenegrin Mountain Heritage: an example of the Katun Mountain Lodge where an exhibition of photographs of the Kutka mountain katun is set up.
Dr Slavko Burzanovic conducted research in the Historical Archives in Ljubljana, and field research was conducted in the area of ​​Idrija. During the stay of the project team, several meetings were held on further work on the bilateral project and preparation of the final proceedings, as well as work on other joint and future projects.
