In addition, with the Chinese project coordinator, Prof. Jie He and his colleagues they had concrete discussions about the continuation of work on the project, specific sites and technologies that would be used such as photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS.

This project will develop methodology of geographical information system (GIS) for regional cultural heritage documentation and investigation based on typical scopes in both Montenegro and China. The project research will firstly focus on cultural heritage property GIS database for information record and access. Then spatial analysis including environmental characteristics, heritage distribution, human-environmental interaction, temporal changes, etc. will be apply through this databased on a GIS platform.

The proposed research will invent a leading specific regional heritage GIS system/project in both Eastern Asia and Southeastern Europe. It will also make world-leading significant contribution to historical, archaeological, and architectural GIS studies in regional scales from methodological aspects in multidisciplinary domains. Enhancing of the knowledge on valorisation of cultural heritage in tourism purposes, through creation of relevant digital applications and other online tools and resources needed for contemporary trends in cultural tourism. A better informational coverage of cultural heritage potentials will enhance their management both in the conservation and promotional domain. Besides case studies and site works in each country, Montenegro team will concentrate more on documentation and archaeological/historical interpretation, while China team will focuses on system and methodology/technical development.
