Promotion of the book Roman City of Doclea as part of the Science and Innovation Day

On Friday 30.9.2022. at 6 p.m. in the "Risto Stijović" Gallery in Podgorica, there will be a promotion of the childrens book The Roman City of Doclea, Podgorica 2022. The book was prepared by associates of the Historical Institute of the UCG and the Istituto di scienze del patrimonio culturale CNR in cooperation with the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Funds from Podgorica and the capital city of Podgorica. This book marks the beginning of a new edition of the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Aids from Podgorica, named after Pavlo Mijovićs book Eppur patrimonium, in which Montenegrin cultural heritage will be presented to students in an interesting way.

- Aleksandra Hajduković, v. d. Director of the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Aids in Podgorica

- Dr. Lucia Alberti, Istituto di scienze del patrimonio culturale, CNR, Rome

- Dr. Tatjana Koprivica, Historical Institute, University of Montenegro

In addition, the Historical Institute of UoM will participate in the Days of Science and Innovation organized by the Ministry of Science. Elementary school students will visit the site of Doclea, where members of the working team from the Istituto di scienze del patrimonio culturale - CNR from Rome and the Historical Institute of the University of Montenegro from Podgorica will talk to them about research and the history of the city, the most important buildings (ramparts, forum, baths , temples), late antique churches (basilica A, basilica B and the cross-shaped church), modern technologies for the study of cultural heritage, etc. Walkshop in Doclea for elementary school students will be organized on October 1st and 2nd at the location of Duklja from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
