Ilija Zeković – the Best Student of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts for the Academic Year 2021/22

Student of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of the University of Montenegro, at the study programme Film and Media Ilija Zeković (10.00) is one of 18 awarded students who achieved the best success during studies for the academic year 2021/22.

"Just like for all students before, and I believe also for all those who will receive this award in the future, for me it represents a nice incentive for further work and efforts. Even though it refers above all to the achieved results in the field of student obligations, it also might stand as a token of the right way I find myself on when my professional development, which is yet to come, is concerned” said the student.

Regarding future plans, Ilija says he plans to continue educations, but this currently depends on numerous factors.

"In the period to come I will try, as I have done so far, to dedicate myself more to researching various fields of film art which I believe will be an important part of professional development and search for my own expression ", he added.

In his opinion, the most important activities at the faculty are recordings of student films where students had an opportunity to cooperate with colleagues from different fields and directly participate in practical work, all with the aim of creating film art. 

"As I enrolled the faculty I really love and chose a subject matter which per se can hardly be boring or dull, not for a moment did I feel that I am renouncing something else for achieving good results, but all went along naturally and easily. I believe this is precisely the result of love for film and the need to find out more and learn as much as possible”, Ilija explains.

For the future students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts he has the following words: "It seems to me that there are many prejudices and fears when studying at art faculties is concerned, including Faculty of Dramatic Arts. So I would love that those who really love movies be first of all honest with themselves, to give themselves the chance to study what they love and I am sure that everything else will come to its place with time and that they will not be disappointed".
