Dušan Kasalica Best Director at the Southeast European Film Festival in Paris

Montenegrin director Dušan Kasalica and assistant professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts - Cetinje won the award for best director at the 12th edition of the Southeast European Film Festival in Paris - SEE A Paris. He received the award for the film "Elegy of the Laurel".SEE A Paris Film Festival is an international festival that brings together authors from countries in Southeast Europe. This year, it was held online, and otherwise takes place in Paris, Berlin and Washington.The Film Center of Montenegro explained that in the film "Elegy of the Laurel", the polished university professor Filip, interpreted by Fran Lasić, is going on vacation with his wife (Savina Geršak). After a few days spent in the pleasant, monotonous ambience of the hotel spa, their seemingly ideal marriage ends. It seems that Filip's life is falling apart, but bound by self-confidence, he accepts every new situation in life with extraordinary ease. The cast, in addition to Frane Lasić and Savina Geršak, consists of Nikolina Bogdanović, Momo Pićurić, Olivera Vuković, Draginja Voganjac, Lidija Kordić, Lidija Petrone, Zoran Trojanović. The director of photography is Igor Djordjevic, set designer and costume designer Natalija Vujosevic, sound designer Jakov Munizaba, editor Jelena Maksimovic, while producer is Jelena Angelovski. "Elegy of the Laurel" had its world premiere at last year's Sarajevo Film Festival. The film was produced by Meander Film with the support of the Film Center of Montenegro and in co-production with Non-Aligned Films from Belgrade.
