Promotion of the book "Challenges of integrating gender equality in the university community: Against gender-based violence" edited by Zilka Spahić-Šiljak, Jasna Kovačević and Jasmine Husanović, was held on Monday, November 21, starting at 9 a.m. at the Faculty of Political Sciences.

Milena Aćimić-Remiković, M.Sc., teaching assistant at the Faculty of Law, University of Montenegro, and Ksenija Rakočević, M.Sc., teaching assistant at the Faculty of Philology, University of Montenegro, spoke about the book.

The book presents the results of the first regional research on gender-based violence conducted at 18 partner universities in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia as part of the UNIGEM project. This thorough qualitative and quantitative research indicated the extent to which gender-based violence is present among the university community. This is the first regional research on the challenges of integrating gender equality and the fight against gender-based violence in universities that includes the student population, teaching staff, as well as administrative staff.
