Trainings on the Use of AMOS EMS Software Acquired as Part of the DUALMON Project Held

The Maritime Faculty of Kotor UMNE, as one of the partners within the DUALMON project "Strengthening capacity for the implementation of dual higher education in Montenegro", organized a two-day training from June 29 to 30, 2022 for using AMOS EMS software. The trainings were held by Mr. Goran Leš from the company SOCIJUS from Split. At the request of the Maritime Faculty of Kotor UMNE, this company created a suitable database of a bulk carrier that will enable the training of employees from the Maritime Faculty of Kotor and representatives of the Crnogorska plovidba company who attended the training.

Namely, through the DUALMON project, the Maritime Faculty of Kotor acquired and installed AMOS EMS software. It is envisaged that by including this software in the teaching process, students of academic studies can participate in practical exercises that will take place in the partner company Crnogorska plovidba. AMOS EMS software enables the implementation of various business processes, such as: maintenance, procurement and consumption of spare parts, monitoring of quality standards, documented information, monitoring of employment of seafarers, their personal documents and others.

It was concluded that in this way students are provided with modern conditions for the development and improvement of competencies needed for a future career in maritime business, and that the software will facilitate the implementation of the dual education pilot project, which will start in the next academic year 2022/23 to be implemented at the Maritime Faculty of Kotor and Montenegrin Navigation.
