Company doMEn LLC and the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro also this year continues with investing efforts make software engineering closer to young people as the most perspective profession. From September to December last year, DoMEn school of engineering was organized for 50 youngest elementary students and this semester more than 100 elementary and high school students continue or start studying software engineering.

In attempt to overcome gap between formal education and software engineering and new technologies, organizers implement a completely free DoMEn school for the eleventh year in a row. Applications were open for all young people but the number of places in school is limited by spatial capacity. So more than 100 elementary and high school students in the beginning of February got the opportunity to learn free software engineering with successful engineers and respectful lecturers of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro. CEO of the company doMEn, Predrag Lesic briefly looked back on what has been achieved: “Contribution of the School is best reflected in the fact that today some of lecturers on faculties and in DoMEn School of software engineering were just our attendees. When you teach someone a certain skill you open the door making it possible for him/her to develop in new direction. And when you see those young people sharing acquired knowledge with other people you know you did the right thing. I am happy since the company doMEn and the Faculty of Science and Mathematics create better future for Montenegrin Society with this project.”

This year four groups have been formed, and attendees are divided according to age and knowledge level. After in previous semester there was a great interest for the group of the youngest engineers who studied in program language Scratch, organizers in this term formed another group of 25 students of V and VI grade. Additionally, first steps in program engineering were made by 30 senior elementary students in program language C++.
