The Faculty of Biotechnology Awarded another Gold Medal for Wine Quality

The Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Montenegro won a gold medal for quality at the 89th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. The award was presented for the top red wine Vranac of the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Montenegro - 2019 vintage.

"This important recognition at the largest and most important agricultural fair in the Balkans and Southeast Europe and one of the ten largest fairs in Europe is another confirmation of the top quality wine of the Biotechnical Faculty and an award for great effort and knowledge invested in this production for decades," said the dean. Biotechnical Faculty Božidarka Marković, PhD.

She added that by winning the new medal, the Vranac wine of the Biotechnical Faculty continues its golden series on the domestic and international wine scene. In the last 15 years, wines from almost all vintages have won gold medals and trophies at prestigious international fairs.

At the award ceremony, the valuable award was accepted on behalf of the Biotechnical Faculty of UMNE, Danijela Raicevic, Assistant Professor, Production Manager.

The International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad was held from May 21 to 27, 2022.
