After passing this exam, the student will be able to: - Understand the fundamentals of coding theory, source modeling, and channel modeling. - Know and explain basic codes for entropy coding (Huffman code with variations) and auxiliary codes for source coding. - Know and explain codes for channel coding such as Hamming codes and BCH codes.
