2. RISKS AND ADAPTATION CAPACITY OF THE COASTAL ENVIRONMENT IN GREECE
Short CV: Ourania Tzoraki is faculty member of the Coastal Morphodynamics - Coastal Management and Marine Geology Group of the Department of Marine Sciences (DMR) of the University of the Aegean, on the island of Lesvos, Greece. She is coordinating or involved as main researcher in national and international research projects related to environmental modeling, coastal and water resources management. She is author of more than 150 publications in journals, books and conference proceedings. She has teaching and supervising experience in universities in Greece, Cyprus, Germany and Italy. Her research interests include Coastal Zone Management (coastal aquifers protection, beach resilience, marina and port environmental management), as well as Hydrology (flood risk studies, hydrology, nutrients and sediments simulation). She is also active as a mentor for EURAXESS and ERASMUS scholars and at the moment in the framework of AEGIS+ project develop the flood alert system of Kalloni and Gera basins.
