Panel Discussion Held: "Cruising and Cultural Tourism in Montenegros Tourism Offer - Challenges and Perspectives

The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of Montenegro organized a panel discussion titled "Cruising and Cultural Tourism in Montenegros Tourism Offer - Challenges and Perspectives." This is one in a series of events through which, under the slogan "FuturUM," the University of Montenegro is marking 50 years since its establishment. This topic represents an extremely relevant issue, particularly in the context of strengthening the tourism industry and the general importance of cruising and cultural tourism for Montenegros economy.

The participants of the panel discussion were Prof. Dr. Đurđica Perović, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilija Moric, Vice Dean for Teaching at FTH, Maja Danilović, PR Director of Port of Kotor, Jovan Ristić, Director of Tourist Organization Kotor, and Dušica Ivetić, Director of Public Institution Museums Kotor, while the discussion was moderated by Prof. Dr. Tatjana Stanovčić.

During the panel discussion, the participants presented their views on the challenges brought by the cruising industry and to what extent the potential of our cultural heritage has been valorized and aligned with contemporary tourism trends.

The participants also emphasized the necessity of promoting cultural products as a vital aspect of Montenegros tourism offer. Additionally, discussions were held on the potentials of digital platforms and artificial intelligence and how they are applied in these segments of the tourism industry.
