After passing the exam, students will be able to: • Distinguish and make a connection between the basic concepts related to the geopolitical characteristics of the Balkans in the past; • Analyze relations between countries of Balkan Peninsula with great powers in the past; • Identify key actors in the Balkan region and their mutual geographic and historical connection and relations; • Apply the acquired knowledge to monitoring of the contemporary political and social processes in the Balkans.
