Students will acquire knowledge necessary for understanding life by building a network of knowledge, understanding biological concepts and the interdependence of living beings at different levels of organization. They will acquire knowledge about the structure and function of the cell, biological systems and metabolic processes. They will understand the principles of the science of inheritance and the importance of applying genetic advice in everyday life. They will be able to develop science literacy by independently designing simple research and experiments, connecting the research question with the experiment, independent data collection, evaluating data quality, presenting research results orally, in text, graphically, tabularly. They will acquire the ability for lifelong learning through general education in the field of modern biological research.
