Dušan Subotić, Best Student of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics for the Academic Year 2022/23
Dušan Subotić (10.00) was declared the best student of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro (UMNE) for the current academic year 2022/23. He believes that this award is a confirmation of all his previous recognitions achieved in the field of physics, starting from elementary school, until today.
"It also represents personal satisfaction knowing that my choice of profession is the right one," said the student.
He tells everyone who wants to enroll in the Faculty of Science and Mathematics that it is there that they can acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in the field they are interested in.
"With a lot of effort, it is a sure path to a successful education," Dušan added.
He believes that his success is primarily based on his talent and love for natural sciences, especially physics.
"Therefore, the invested work and dedication were a means to realize the great desire to deepen knowledge. All my activities from other spheres of interest took place in parallel with the above, so I believe that there were no major sacrifices," he said.
Among the activities at the faculty that helped in the acquisition of certain knowledge and skills, he highlights lectures, laboratory exercises, but also independent work.
"Also, I must point out that I was engaged in the summer and winter School of Science at Ivans Corridors, organized by the PRONA Foundation, as an assistant in the physics practicum and a mentor to the younger participants. Those activities allowed me to try my hand at the skill of transferring my knowledge to others", the best student says.
When it comes to plans for the future in a professional sense, Dušan says that they are aimed at implementation of all tasks leading to achievement of the main goal -completion of undergraduate studies with success so far. "I plan to continue my education abroad, but I still dont know which destination it will be. I will use this study year to actively think about future professional development and, in accordance with possible options, make a decision," he concluded.
