On the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro, VI International Class of Paricle Physics was held, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development in cooperation with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and International Group for Promotion of Particles Physics (IPPOG).

The class, annually attended by about 13000 highs school students from countries worldwide, was attended by 40 high school students from Podgorica, Nikšić, Cetinje, Pljevlja, Žabljak, Andrijevica, Bar, Budva and Herceg Novi. They had the opportunity to analyze data gathered in one of experiments that gave insight in the process of functioning of the greatest accelerated complex in the world, situated in CERN.

This kind of lesson is organized, in the same day, on several universities and institutes in the world so that participants after their work in experimental data could share their experience and results and take part in joint discussion about what they learnt or did in a day. Also, results of students are combined in order to get joint result of several teams. This discussion is organized in afternoon hours via video conference led by representatives of CERN.

The event is open by Minister of Science and Technological Development, Biljana Šćepanović and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Miljan Bigović, PhD, who welcomed high school students and their professors wishing them a successful work, as well as hoping that gained experiences will help them in further work and selection of the faculty.

Through interesting lectures, students were steered by: prof. Nataša Raičević, doctoral student Itana Bubanja and students of the final year of physics, Dušan Subotić and Tijana Cvijetić. At the same time, they gave necessary support to students in their work.
