Participation in Winter School of Proteomics in Belgrade
Miljan Bigović, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro has taken part in the winter school of Proteomics (Food and Twin Winter School 2020-Proteomix: From sample preparation to practical aspects), held from February 5th to 8th in the Chemical Faculty of the University in Belgrade.
Within the school, series of lectures was held from the field of chemistry and biochemistry of proteins, proteomics, sequencing of proteins and identification of proteins from natural samples by methods of mass spectrometry, and lecturers were eminent experts from the field of chemistry and biochemistry of proteins, proteomics and lipids as from Serbia as well as from abroad. Next to theoretical part, substantial part of the time is dedicated to practical work, preparation of samples, experimental methods of separation, cleansing and isolating separate proteins, as well as recording their mass specters and application of software for identification of proteins.

Besides, there were discussions about the possible cooperation between the Faculty of Science and Mathematics and Centre for Exquisite Values for molecular sciences about food concerning protein chemistry.
