High School Students Outside Montenegro Also Interested in the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of UMNE

In the last two weeks, graduates of Montenegrin and secondary schools outside Montenegro have asked a large number of questions related to enrollment and studying at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro.

Vice-Dean for Teaching at this faculty, Assistant Professor, Miljan Bigović, PhD, says that he personally had electronic communication with them and provided them with all the necessary information, links, as well as contacts with the heads of study programs, for even more reliable information.

Information on the enrollment of high school students at the Faculty of Science is also available in the electronic version of the Prospectus 2020/2021, on the website of the University of Montenegro, as well as on the website of the Faculty of Science.

Vice-Dean Bigović believes that trend of enrollment and interest at the faculty open to young people who want to gain education and the path to professional science and pedagogical work in various fields, will be at a similar level as in previous years.

Graduates of our and high schools outside Montenegro have been asking a large number of questions regarding enrollment and studying in the last two weeks, he says.

He explained that the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, through various promotions that it organizes, promotes science, but also develops the ability to critically and independently approach problem questions and tasks.

Some of the activities are: Knowledge Olympics, Computer School, Science Days. I would also like to mention the cooperation with the Ministry of Science and the Science Promotion Foundation “Prona”, organizing various workshops, events, presentation of experiments, and organizing competitions in natural and computer sciences and mathematics, " the Vice-Dean says.

Last year, he adds, the interest of students was higher than the number of announced vacancies in the study programs of Computer Science and Computing and Computer EngineeringTechnology.

Judging by the number of enrollment deadlines, he concludes, apart from the two already mentioned study programs, certainly, although less interest was shown by the graduatesfor the remaining four study programs at the Faculty of Science (Mathematics and Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology and Physics).
