Dean of the FSM to Future Students: Hard Work is not only the Recipe for Success on Studies – Hard Work is Recipe for Success in Life

Dear students,

"Smart people learn from other people's mistakes." This maxim is well known to everyone, but it must have happened to us at least once in our lives that we easily forsake advice given by others, and in the end we learned some important life lessons from our own mistakes. Studying and preparing for a future profession is unknown to all of you.

On the way to graduation, full of challenges, many give up. Some try to take shortcuts, some go faster, some slower, but after graduating, many would see their own mistakes and go through it differently. That's why I would like you to listen to my advice, or my life maxim: "Hard work pays off." The more time you devote to learning the more you will value yourself, your knowledge, and the degree you earn. Others will appreciate you more. Of course, you will also finish your studies on time. But what you will learn later is that hard work is not just a recipe for success in studies: hard work is a recipe for success in life. Welcome to the Faculty of Science.
