Upon the completion of this course, the student will show the ability to: 1. know basic concepts and laws of cognitive development of an individual; 2. use methods and techniques of developmental psychology; 3. integrate knowledge of different theoretical approaches in developmental psychology with an emphasis on contemporary theories of development; 4. identify developmental characteristics of students and explain the causes of developmental changes; 5. predict relations among development achievements in a particular age group; 6. identify developmental difficulties of school-age children.
