After successful completion of the course, students will be able to analyse the processes of financial (bank) intermediation and disintermediation, explain principles of bank sustainability including capital of a bank, compare operations of commercial and investment banking, classify risks in banking and explain management of credit, market and interest rate risks, draw connection between theoretical approach to bank crises with causes, indicators and implications of bank crises by analysing the biggest bank crises.
